Chaplain Chuck Elliot Mission Statement
Isaiah 6:8 “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
As a Chaplain I believe I have been called and commissioned to go into various crisis situations caring for those that have had tragic loss to give comfort, prayer and hope. My goal is to provide the kind ministry of presence to the members of the Gig Harbor Fire district 5 and Sheriff Department to provide compassion, mercy, understanding and love. My prayer is that I plan to show to those in need that I will be the only Bible many will every get a chance to see. I will be ready to share the Gospel and the Lords' guidance. I will be molded and shaped after the Ministry of Jesus Christ in order to deal with real people who are in need of comfort. As a Chaplain I will reach out to all people with the heart and compassion. I believe that as a Chaplain I will be about the Great Commission. As a Chaplain and Minister if I see someone in need and have the ability to help him or her and don't, how can I say that the love of Jesus abides in me?
Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. James 1:22 Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice. 23 If you listen to the word, but do not put it into practice you are like people who look in a mirror and see themselves as they are. What do you see when you look into the mirror.
